IMPACT History
Our 23 years of experience began as a simple drive to help people. Laura Herring, our founder, through her private practice specializing in family counseling for corporate Employee Assistance Programs, saw a gap in the system where employees and their families were not getting the help they needed while dealing with the complexities of corporate relocation. After being offered the challenge to develop a new product to help these employees and their families, Laura selflessly closed the door to her private practice and paved the way for what IMPACT Group has now become. Laura’s drive and passion is still directly reflected in our core mission of making a positive IMPACT on the lives we touch.
Since its inception in 1988, IMPACT Group has seen consistent growth both in revenue and in worldwide presence. From 2005 to 2008, the Company expanded its international presence adding 28 hub locations to its global footprint. In 2007, IMPACT Group acquired Spherion’s Human Resource Consulting division, which further strengthened its position in providing innovative outplacement services.
IMPACT Group continues to be the industry expert, consistently innovating and upgrading service delivery and product lines. The Company significantly invests in the latest technology to provide seamless, easy-to-use applications to make transitioning easier for both organizations and their employees.
IMPACT started out as a challenge to attend to the needs of relocating employees/families . Today, IMPACT Group is the largest female-owned global organization revolutionizing how organizations transition their employees in, within and out of the organization.
