IMPACT Group -- The Transition Expert -- Outplacement, Relocation, Retirement

The global business environment is getting more complex. Is your organization ready?

In business, nothing stops at national borders anymore, and the resource game and the connectivity of the Internet have made the world a global place. How successful a company is at developing new market opportunities will depend on its strategic approach to diversity, and on an awareness of growth, earnings and infrastructure potential in emerging markets. With fewer and fewer companies operate within one country and one culture, developing a globally minded workforce is the key to success globally, especially in challenging and diverse regions of the world.

For leaders in particular, cross-cultural curiosity and the presence of a Global Mindset – the set of individual characteristics that help global leaders better influence individuals, groups, and organizations that are unlike them – are mission critical. IMPACT Group, in partnership with Thunderbird University, works with organizations to prepare marketing, sales, human resources and operations staff to compete successfully in the global marketplace.

Using the Global Mindset Inventory (GMI) as a framework, our coaching workshops help individuals identify global competencies within Intellectual Capital, Psychological Capital and Social Capital, and refine skills to enhance effectiveness within a global environment. During the coaching workshops, individuals first calculate their Global Mindset through an integrated, scientifically verified assessment exploring attributes and characteristics. Next, a coach debriefs their findings and helps them build an action plan that augments cultural awareness and strengthens global competencies to support organizational goals.

Not every organization has a strong pool of candidates ready for international assignments and global leadership, therefore Global Mindset programs serve to help them assess talent, strategize and streamline the development process and efficiently prepare and mobilize the best fit. Ultimately, the ability of an organization to proactively recognize and nurture its Global Mindset will directly correlate to its success beyond its borders.
