Jessica Scott joins IMPACT Group as a Career/Transition Coach, bringing a background in business as well as career coaching and counseling. She enjoys connecting with people and helping them make career decisions that are in line with their strengths, interests, personality, and values as well as creating job search documents that are reflective of their personal brand.
Jessica has experience guiding individuals of all experience levels in achieving their goals, encompassing career planning and decision-making, work/life balance, expected and unexpected career and life transitions, and fulfillment in work. She has coached students transitioning into the world of work, individuals looking to advance their career, career changers, high-level individual contributors, and executive management. Her specialty areas include networking, personal branding, values clarification, leadership development, interviewing, and online presence management. She helps clients discover their unique stories and uses empathy and humor to connect and facilitate change.
Prior to joining IMPACT Group, Jessica spent more than seven years as a career coach in educational, nonprofit, and federal government settings. She has relocated and experienced several life transitions herself. Jessica has worked in academic settings as a career coach at Southern Methodist University, the University of North Texas at Dallas, and the University of Phoenix as well as in the Career Management Program of a federal government agency as a career counselor and coach. Additionally, she has nonprofit experience as a career counselor at Mosaic Family Services in Dallas.
Jessica received a BBA in Marketing from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin and an MEd in Counseling from the University of North Texas. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor with a focus on career counseling. She is also certified to administer and interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator personality assessment. She has presented at state conferences and regularly facilitates workshops on many facets of career development. Outside of work, Jessica enjoys true crime podcasts and loves baseball. She has visited 17 MLB stadiums.
