Katherine Burik is an energetic and creative leader with specific expertise in guiding strategic planning and coaching leaders to improve performance and results.
Katherine joined IMPACT Group in 2016, focusing on coaching executives in transition. She provides expertise on everything related to the job search, from job search materials and networking to effectively utilizing LinkedIn to build relationships. She speaks frequently on the topic of career development and successful job search techniques. Her thoughts about job search appear regularly in her blog at The Interview Doctor, the consulting firm Katherine established in 2004 to improve every aspect of the job search process.
In addition to her coaching experience, Katherine has published job search white papers and three books as part of The Job Seeker Manifesto, including: The Job Search Marketing Plan: Declare to the World How You Will Find Your Next Job, Résumés 3.0: Tools to find your next job, and Tell Me About Yourself: Secrets to Successful Job Interviews.
Prior to becoming a career coach, Katherine served as a Vice President and Director of Human Resources at several businesses in Chicago and Northeast Ohio, where she was responsible for the entire array of human resource functions.
Katherine is a member of the Society of Human Resource Managers, the Association for Talent Development, the International Coach Federation, and the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches. She earned her BA in History from Northwestern University and MS in Industrial Relations from Loyola University of Chicago. She has been certified as a Senior HR Professional by the Society of Human Resource Managers and is certified as a Registered Corporate Coach with the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches.
