Empowering People, Unlocking Potential…It’s What Sapna Does
Sapna Sukesh Kumar goes into super hero mode each morning as she juggles the needs of her clients, fields questions from the Asia Pacific (APAC) team, and correspondences with relocation management companies in Asia. As a self-described introvert, she loves the steady routine of her day and having the flexibility to work from home at her own pace.
Sapna knows a thing or two about packing up and settling down. She has lived in various parts of the world, including India, Bangladesh, and Singapore, and she now resides in New Jersey. “Home is where the heart is,” Sapna says. “We have relocated to so many different countries that places have stopped mattering to me. If I have my kids with me, that’s where home is.”
When Sapna joined IMPACT Group 10 years ago as a Career and Transition Coach, she was inspired by the stories of IMPACT Group’s founder, Laura Herring. “Her charisma, dynamism, and stories on how IMPACT came to be were fascinating,” Sapna notes. She has enjoyed watching the IMPACT legacy take off to greater heights after Laura’s daughter, Lauren Herring, took the helm.
“It gives me tremendous joy helping families reinvent themselves in a new country
Now, Sapna serves as the Regional Team Lead of APAC, mentoring six independent coaches, training international coaches on program delivery processes, and providing high-quality customer service to corporate clients while still managing a caseload of families in transition. As a child, she dreamed of being an air hostess for an international airline so she could travel the world. With a career in the relocation sector, she has the opportunity to help individuals who are traveling the globe through corporate relocation. “It gives me tremendous joy helping families reinvent themselves in a new country.”
Sapna’s clients praise her for her openness, ability to motivate them during the job search process, and for the level of comfort she provides. She believes that the key to unlocking a person’s potential lies within that person; one just needs support, direction, determination, and a strong will – oh, and good luck doesn’t hurt. Her advice to her clients is always, “Relax – we will tide through this together. United we stand strong, tall, and successful.”
What she enjoys most about her job is the confidence that her leaders have in her, and the chance she has to positively impact her clients. “I am passionate about helping people and making a difference in their lives.” Over the course of her career, she has helped hundreds of individuals move toward achieving meaningful personal and professional goals that complement their life style and add value to their life.
